    AI-workshop GenAI

Today, I had the honor of giving an AI workshop to my son’s class, grade 6.

It was fantastic to see the children’s reactions to a video from 1998, where people were asked if they already had a mobile phone. Their amazement and surprise that no one felt the need for a mobile phone were huge!

I regularly give workshops, but the number of questions and insights the children had in just 1.5 hours was impressive. They not only thought about the opportunities that AI offers but also considered the risks and the impact of AI on their (future) lives.

Of course, we also got hands-on. It was hilarious how an assignment to create a love letter got the whole class moving, and it was great to see how quickly the kids picked up new technology. What especially stood out to me was how well they already knew how to use GenAI as a tool to get their thoughts down on paper. And they didn’t settle for the first answer – they stayed critical and kept probing with more questions.

I’m incredibly curious about the creative and innovative ideas that will come from this class in the future.

Would your team also like to dive into the wonderful world of AI? I’d be happy to come by to give a workshop. Feel free to contact me, as besides my work at Enexis, I’m also available as a speaker/inspirator in this area.

🚀 Dragons’ Den Hackathon at Enexis: Innovation in Action! 🚀

From Wednesday to Friday, I had the privilege of supporting a fantastic team once again during the Dragons’ Den Hackathon at Enexis. In just three days, we got to work with the “measuring case,” a smart tool to monitor our field stations even better. The result? A strong concept and a convincing pitch! 💡

Here are a few insights I’d like to share with you:

🔑 Innovation culture doesn’t happen by itself
A hackathon is just one of many ways to encourage that culture. But it’s a powerful one!

⚡️ Under pressure, everything becomes fluid
The speed and intensity of a hackathon create a “pressure-cooker” effect that accelerates creativity and solutions. You’re forced to think outside the box!

🤝 Start with a “belief case,” not always a business case
We often try to implement new ideas within existing structures, which doesn’t always work. Sometimes, you just need to start with a group of believers – a “coalition of the willing” – who believe in it.
